Paradise

Yellow-orange sunset,

green shiny grass,

red radiable roses.

The green fields extend into an endless beach

the sun peeking from behind.

The soggy waves unite with the golden sand.

But, everything seems so far to reach,

But yet so close.

If I could only reach out,

if I could fly out,

out of the gloomy shadows that surround me,

away from the creepy insects,

away from the filth,

from the dirty mud – knee high,

from the floating, glowing eyes,

in darkness.

I couldn’t dare to look back,

at the curse behind.

I couldn’t go back there,

to the beast that I have shaken awake.

If I could only go back,

and take the right path,

there wouldn’t be this barrier,

that keeps me from reaching out to paradise,

keeping me trapped in my own mistakes,

in my own darkness,

away from paradise.
